Thank you for your interest in the Inverness Garden Club. The Club offers many opportunities for education, friendship, hands-on gardening and service to the community. General meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the months of September, October, November, January, February, and April. A visit to a member's garden is scheduled in April and again in September; a holiday luncheon is held in December; the Primrose Tea, a highlight in March, is often scheduled on the first Sunday in that month. An annual luncheon to honor the contributions of our many members who volunteer throughout the year is held in May. The year ends with an outdoor picnic in a garden or park. Meetings are held at various venues in Point Reyes Station or Inverness and occasionally at the Inverness Yacht Club in Inverness, unless specifically noted.
Meetings start with a social half hour at 1:00 pm followed by a short business meeting. A program which emphasizes gardening, flower arranging, landscaping, the environment or related topics of local interest is scheduled from 2 pm to 3 pm. We cordially welcome guests and new members.
The Inverness Garden Club has many facets: our Scholarship Fund has provided financial assistance to qualified high school graduates from Coastal West Marin for 55 years; the Community Projects Committee promotes the beautification and enhancement of our local community with its many projects and activities; our General Meetings are designed to stimulate the knowledge and appreciation of gardening and its related topics. Throughthout the year, members of the Club work together on various annual Community Events such as the Inverness Fair, Western Weekend, and the Holiday Craft Fair in Point Reyes. A wonderful camaraderie develops among members as they work on an activity or project. Join the Club, become involved in its wealth of activities and, at the same time, make a lot of delightful new friends!
Membership is open to all. The various areas of the Club can be explored at the top of our website. Browse through the website to learn more about the Club and its activities. We hope you will consider joining us.
