One of the purposes of the Inverness Garden Club is "to promote the beautification and improvement of our local community." The Community Projects Committee (CPC) has a number of activities to carry out this purpose. Another purpose of the Club is to stimulate knowledge and appreciation of gardening. CPC also assists with this effort.
The CPC has two large gardening projects in Inverness and several smaller ones in Point Reyes Station. CPC occasionally gives small grants to local beautification projects by other organizations, and supports School gardening programs at the West Marin Schools.
